RETURNS POLICY

We offer an exchange or refund for Change of Mind on Full Price purchases (excluding shipping costs) within 14 days of purchase provided the following conditions are met:

  • The purchase was made in the last 14 days.
  • You have the receipt.
  • The goods are in a saleable condition, in their original packaging with all tags attached.
  • The goods have not been worn, damaged, washed, or dry cleaned.
  • Shoes must be tried on soft surfaces as we cannot accept shoes returned with sole markings or scratches. Shoes must be returned in the original box.

All refunds will be processed as per your original method of payment. Online orders must be returned to the warehouse. 

FINAL SALE: Please note, items marked as “Sale” are not eligible for returns or exchanges. If an item is faulty, you may be entitled to a replacement or refund after assessment by our customer service team.

How Do I Return My Item?

All returns must comply with the Ginger & Smart Returns Policy.

Please note, return shipping is at the customers expense, Ginger & Smart will not cover the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a traceable service to reduce the risk of lost parcels.

We will endeavour to process your return within 5 business days of Ginger & Smart receiving the returned item/s.

Please allow 5-7 business days for replacement orders within Australia to be shipped.

 

INTERNATIONAL RETURNS

Please email shop@gingerandsmart.com, for instructions on how to return your order. Please note, return shipping is at the customers expense, Ginger & Smart will not cover the cost of return shipping.  

What If My Item Is Faulty?

If you have received a product that contains a defect, or has been sent to you in error, or any other issue, we request that you contact Customer Care at shop@gingerandsmart.com or 1300 865 212. We will advise you on what to do next.

If we request the product be returned to us for assessment, and upon our receipt of this product it is deemed during the assessment process not to contain a defect or it has not been sent to you in error and there are no issues with the product, the product will be returned to you.    

If there is a defect detected during the assessment process, we reserve the right to repair, replace or refund the product.

As a consumer, you are entitled to the benefit of the statutory consumer guarantee. If you believe an item is faulty, not of acceptable quality, does not match the description provided or is not fit for purpose, you might be entitled to a remedy under the consumer law. Consumer guarantees do not apply where the product was damaged due to abnormal use or misuse.

  • Items that are on sale are considered final sale, and are not eligible for returns or exchanges. If an item is faulty, you may be entitled to a replacement or refund after assessment by our management team. 
  • Samples are considered sale items and are part of the same policy. 
  • Samples are not included in any promotional offers.

CREDIT NOTE
  • Credit Notes are not redeemable for cash.
  • Credit Notes are valid for 3 years from issue.
  • No change is given on any balance on the Credit Note. Any balance may be used for future purchases.
  • These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time.
GIFT VOUCHERs
  • Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Ginger & Smart Gift Cards are valid for 3 Years from purchase.
  • No change is given on any balance that remains on the Gift Card. Any balance may be used for any future purchases.
  • Gift Cards cannot be replaced if they are lost or stolen.
  • Gift Cards cannot be used to make payment over the phone.
  • These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time.

Our Returns Policy is a "voluntary" policy that covers products purchased from Ginger & Smart and is in addition to your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Purchased from David Jones Concession?

If you purchased the product from a David Jones concession you will need to return the product to a David Jones concession with the receipt.

Purchased From A Ginger & Smart Stockist?

Returns to Ginger & Smart are only accepted for items bought through the Ginger & Smart website. Please note that each stockist has its own distinct returns policy. Kindly contact the retailer directly to obtain this information before completing your purchase.
